Last week, GREEN-LOOP consortium representatives participated in the first internal workshop on “Occupational #safety and #health for Green-Loop Manufacture Systems.”
The workshop was organized in two different crucial sessions in fostering knowledge enrichment and skill enhancement among our team members, directly contributing to the evolution of our project.
The first session was strategically designed to tackle critical aspects related to Occupational Safety and Health (#OSH) within the context of the GREEN-LOOP project: insights into the workshop’s objectives, based on a thorough study of current and future directives concerning production processes and bio-based materials and products.
1) Awareness on OSH Issues, emphasizing the application of the gender and diversity perspective. We are now even more committed to creating a workplace that prioritizes the well-being of all team members!
2️) Knowledge for OSH Assessment, specifically within the manufacturing processes developed in the GREEN-LOOP project. The workshop places special attention on the gender and diversity dimension, ensuring an integrated approach to safety.
During the second session of the workshop we focused on the exploration and collaboration on integrating #gender and #diversity in Occupational Safety and Health (#osh)!
We firstly unpacked fundamental concepts of ‘Sex’ and ‘Gender” and then we dove deep into the complex terrain of EU Legislation on Gender in OSH.
This was a strategic move to align our practices with the latest standards, recognizing the dynamic nature of our regulatory landscape.
A practical checklist emerged – a tangible blueprint for positive change!
🌈 This wasn’t just theory; it’s about turning insights into #action , shaping a workplace that embraces diversity and inclusion in OSH. Our workshop ended with a shared summary in plenary, where we laid out our findings and engaged in a dynamic joint discussion. This workshop helped us to understand the importance of an ongoing #dialogue that could enhance our collective understanding and foster a culture of continuous improvement!
