Chamomile waste can be used to make herbal tea cups | other publication

Among the most brilliant initiatives of the Green-Loop project is the transformation of agricultural waste into new biocompatible materials, a striking example of applied circular economy.

Mixcycling, an Italian company partner of Green-Loop, plays a crucial role in this context, demonstrating how natural resources can be reinvented to reduce plastic use and improve environmental impact.

From the waste of chamomile, one of the most common yet often overlooked resources, Mixcycling has succeeded in producing elegant tea cups, showcasing the versatility and potential of biobased materials.

Similarly, Silverskin, a by-product of coffee roasting, finds new life in innovative coffee cups.
These successes are not only testaments to ingenuity but also to a tangible commitment to sustainability, supported by the Horizon Green Loop project’s funding and the expert consultancy of NSBproject s.r.l.
